Why go Political?
In democracy, we are all equal but some of us have won the political mandate to make large-scale decisions. Identifying the right politician, at the right level, and convincing her of an ethical way forward is therefore an art of its own. We believe in the EU and its ability to act on bigger ideas than any European country can on its own. That is why we proactively engage with the EU institutions, bringing forward ideas that are bigger than a single country, language, or market. Let's get political!

Interfaith dialogue in the EU Parliament
[POLITICAL🌍] A veiled Muslim woman and a rabbi spreading a common message of tolerance and European values. It sounds like a joke or fantasy but so is the case of Latifa Ibn Zaitan whose son, a soldier in the French army, was murdered by an Islamist terrorist. She was invited as a guest of honour by the European Jewish Community Center to screen her film and hold a debate in the European Parliament about her work on tolerance. We were humbled and delighted to facilitate it.

Debating 5G in the European Parliament
[POLITICAL🌍] One of the most critical decisions policy makers will have to make in the coming years is about 5G; when, how, and by whom. We were therefore delighted to moderate a lively political debate in the European Parliament among some of the major stakeholders.

Jewish contribution to LGBT victims of the Holocaust (EJC, EP)
[POLITICAL🌍] Rarely do victim groups of racism find the strength to pay tribute to one another. Yet, the European Jewish Congress, in charge of the annual Holocaust Memorial ceremony of the European Parliament, made a tradition to focus every year on a sister community suffering the same blind hate of the Third Reich. We were honoured to bring a voice this beautiful initiative, calling to respect the past victims of homophobia, and fight for more inclusion in the future.

Digital campaigning ahead of EU elections
[POLITICAL🌍] With participation rates in European elections dropping dangerously low in certain European countries, it is crucial that candidates are able to campaign in a modern, engaging, and inspiring manner, using the latest technological tools. We were therefore delighted to give a workshop on the use of LinkedIn to wishful MEP candidates ahead of the 2019 elections.

Optimistic debate about the holocaust
[POLITICAL🌍] The International Holocaust Remembrance Day was an opportunity for us to meet in the European Parliament and reflect on our dark past but also on creating a better future. Dan Sobovitz interviewed Holocaust Survivor Simon Gronowski, Member of Parliament HelgaTrüpel, Alena Flintzak who volunteers on behalf of Germany's Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (ASF) at the European Jewish Community Centre, and our own Rabbi Avi-Nehama Tawil.
Teaching Linkedin to politicians
[POLITICAL🌍] We had the pleasure of sharing with Members of the European Parliament the way in which we made the LinkedIn account of European Commission VP Maros Sefcovic grow from zero to almost half a million followers. Together with representatives from LinkedIn, we answered their questions on how they too can have an impactful digital presence on the professional platform.

Slovak EU Presidency
[POLITICAL🌍] Taking over the rotating six-months presidency of the EU Council is an immense responsibility and a huge opportunity to shape EU affairs. It is even more challenging for countries doing it for the first time. We were therefore delighted to travel to Bratislava in order to give a workshop to the Slovak Foreign Ministry on the use of digital tools which could make their Presidency more successful. We couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve achieved!
World Humanitarian Summit
[POLITICAL🌍] WHS was a two-year process, triggered by former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, in order to rethink and restructure the humanitarian aid system as we know it. We were proud to take part of the communication exercise around it, on behalf of the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Department (DG ECHO).
